When:
12(noon)-1PM
Where: T-Mobile's office, Alii Place, 21st Floor

The second meeting will be a lunch time meeting on September 5
(Thursday). A visiting T-Mobile (formerly known as Voicestream)
specialist on the new Pocket PC Phone Edition will talk about
this PDA-centric Pocket PC that also happens to be a GSM phone with GPRS
high-speed (relatively speaking) wireless data for e-mail and web
surfing. FYI: T-Mobile will provide pupus (light food)!

The Microsoft Mobile Devices
Group provided more free Pocket PC T-Shirts!
Handango, the official Microsoft Pocket PC Software Store sent a box
of goodies to our Users Group. It includes 10% discount coupons,
stylus pens, lip balm (I'm still trying to figure this one out), and
some packages of games and business applications.

This model of the Tablet PC has an integrated keyboard
and can be used in a clamshell mode like a conventional
Notebook PC. |

However, the screen can fold over and shift to a tablet
mode like the old Clio Handheld PC. You see it here
in landscape mode. |

And, the screen can be software rotated to match a more
comfortable portrait mode. Check out the
User Group
Discussion web page for more comments about the
Tablet PC. I definitely am planning on selling the notebook
PC I bought just a few weeks ago when the Tablet PC
becomes available. |
